Getting a Taste of What You Deserve?!
A What's Next?! Workshop 1- day Event
"Deserving
is a funny word, isn't it? My grandmother used to say, ‘someday he'll
get what he deserves,’ as a commentary on someone who, in her opinion,
had just earned a karmic whiplash. But I think her negative
perspective on deserving doesn't honor the most essential premise. We
all deserve love, connection, success, happiness, as well as our
feelings of sadness, anger, and fear. It's a human entitlement - part
of the experience of being," says Joanne Lutz, co-creator of What's Next?! Workshop.
Why is it, then, that we so often believe that we have to earn the
right to be happy, loved, sad, etcetera, or that we have no right to it
at all? Why can we accept that others deserve these things, but not
us?
This dismissal of ourselves is learned. And like anything we learn,
when new information comes to light, we have the opportunity to change
our minds and our way of approaching the world. As part of the What’s Next?! Workshop program, Jamie Thurber and Joanne Lutz have created a one-day class devoted to exploring these ways that we hold ourselves back and the concept of deserving.
This experiential class will explore what we've learned, how we respond
when we feel we do or don't deserve something, and begin to forge a new
pathway - a truth within - that we are deserving, even if we don't
always get what we need.
Getting a Taste of What You Deserve?! is a self-contained class offered through the What's Next?! Workshop program, which is a Consciousness Collaborative
event. It's perfect for someone stuck in an old paradigm of belief
that you have to "pay your dues, " "give yourself away," or “don’t
deserve” love, connection, and happiness.
Whether you are a What's Next?! Workshop program alum
who's been waiting for a continuation of the series or a curious
wallflower wondering how the six-month series operates and what it may
offer you - this class will serve you well.

Emotional Re-Education Workshop
Weekend Retreat of Self Discovery and Connection
The
Emotional Re-Education Workshop is a safe environment to explore old
emotional hurts, decisions, and beliefs - cutting through the stuck
places that inhibit your ability to live fully in yourself and to give
and receive love.
Traumas, whether from intrusions, absences, betrayals, illnesses,
accidents, or losses remain frozen in our bodies. Healing involves
somatic and emotional release and reframing. These are the “missing
pieces” in talk therapy. In this workshop, you will be encouraged to
challenge limited self-beliefs and definitions and to try out and try
on new attitudes and ways of being.
This workshop is designed for intense emotional exploration, release,
and re-education; intended for participants who currently have the
regular support of a therapist or coach. The processes are facilitated
in a group setting, where we realize our concerns are shared and that
we can be supported by others. It is also an opportunity to experience
non-invasive bonding, a basic human need sorely neglected in our
culture.
*This is a residential retreat and all rooms are double occupancy. All
costs are included in the $675 fee, specifically: 5 meals (Sat.
breakfast/ lunch/ dinner - Sun. breakfast/ lunch), snacks, 2 overnight
stays, and participation in all of the workshop activities. A few
single rooms are available at an additional cost. The Consciousness Collaborative members, Adrian Wilkins, Anya Mann, and Dawn Lipinski, will facilitate this workshop with Wanda Stevens under the direction of April Prita Manganiello.
